RidgeLog Data Deletion — Orr Outdoors
RidgeLog does not create user accounts and Orr Outdoors does not maintain a cloud copy of your scouting journal. RidgeLog observations, photos, settings, and diagnostic records are stored in the app's private storage on your device.
How to delete a single observation
1. Open RidgeLog.
2. Open Journal.
3. Select the observation.
4. Choose Delete and confirm.
This immediately deletes the observation record and its attached RidgeLog photos from the device.
How to delete diagnostic information
1. Open RidgeLog.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Diagnostics and compatibility.
4. Select the trash icon and confirm Clear diagnostics.
How to delete all RidgeLog data
Open Android Settings, select Apps, select RidgeLog, select Storage, and choose Clear data or Clear storage. You may also uninstall RidgeLog. This removes RidgeLog's local observations, coordinates, weather snapshots, photos, notes, preferences, and diagnostics from the device.
Request deletion assistance
Email ridgelog.app@gmail.com with the subject “RidgeLog data deletion request.” Include your phone model and Android version, but do not send hunting locations, journal notes, or photos. Orr Outdoors will respond with deletion assistance within 30 days.
Because RidgeLog has no user accounts or Orr Outdoors cloud database in the current version, Orr Outdoors cannot remotely erase information stored only on your phone. Data is removed from RidgeLog's local storage immediately when you use the deletion controls above. Orr Outdoors retains no server-side copy and has no additional retention period for this local data.
Types of data deleted
Deletion may include scouting observations, precise or approximate coordinates, elevation, weather snapshots, species and animal details, behaviors, hunting-pressure selections, dates and times, distance and direction estimates, notes, photos, app settings, device compatibility details, and locally recorded crash diagnostics.
Data that may be retained separately
When RidgeLog requests weather, coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo. Open-Meteo states that its server logs may contain IP addresses and geographic coordinates and may be retained for up to 90 days. Those records are controlled by Open-Meteo under its terms and privacy policy: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
Google Play and Android may separately process or retain installation, store-usage, or device-backup information under Google's policies. Orr Outdoors does not control those records.
